Welcome to the new cadre portal! This is the online home of Cadre XII, a part of the doctoral program in Educational Technology at Pepperdine University. The EdD in EdT is designed to prepare leaders in the field of technological applications and innovation in the world of education and business. All courses for this program are taken with a cadre, or team, with an annual intake in the fall. Course work is integrated with 60 percent face-to-face meetings and 40 percent online segments, creating a truly distributed learning environment. The majority of communication occurs online through newsgroups, Web pages, and real time "chat" in a virtual environment hosted by SRI and Pepperdine.
This portal provides a place for members of Cadre XII to share resources, host forums, and post class transcripts. Additionally, users can share images in the photo galleries and build their profile for others to see. Many members of Cadre XII are also members of the Pepperdine ACM Student Chapter. The Chapter is ran by officers selected from both Cadre XII and Cadre XI, and will soon branch out to include the next cadre to join Pepperdine University as well. The ACM Student Chapter is focused on connecting students, educators, and the business community. The group collaborates to foster their interests in educational and information technology, support other Pepperdine initiatives, and volunteer efforts to help developing communities. Membership is open to everyone.
On this site you can also get to know Cadre 12. The group has made it through the first six months... and judging by the number of pictures in the photo galleries; nearly every minute of it was documented! Wondering just what all you can do in the galleries? You can: Take a stroll down memory lane and look back at Tech Camp and our 2 Fall F2Fs.... Add your photos from January's face-to-face...... Add photos from past events.... Rate the pictures that are on here..... Store your favorites to your lightbox on your profile....
